Botanical Illustration by Christine Battle
Christine is an established botanical illustrator based near Bath, England. She works primarily in watercolour on paper, and occasionally on vellum.
She exhibited with the RHS for the first time in May 2010 and was awarded a Gold Medal for eight paintings illustrating New Trees, from the book of the same name by John Grimshaw and Ross Bayton.
Christine’s prints are all reproduced using the giclée process – from the French, meaning “to spray or squirt”, this printing style results in works of exceptional quality and almost indistinguishable from the original.
Limited edition giclée prints of Christine’s work are available to buy from this website, as are post cards and greeting cards. Some original works can also be purchased, and private commissions are undertaken on request.
